WormCup has two kinds of points, and they do different jobs. Keeping them straight is the key to the game.

Tournament points — your rank

Tournament points are your score. They’re the only thing that ranks you on the leaderboard, and they come from skill:
  • Correct match predictions (200–2,000 per match, multiplied by any levels you apply)
  • Trading on worm.wtf (5,000 standard / 10,000 leveraged)
Think of tournament points as your rank score. Grinding taps or invites won’t move them.

Activity points — your fuel

Activity points are what you spend to power up your predictions (1,000 per level). They don’t rank you, and they never expire.

Earning activity points

  • Tapping — tap the football in the app. Every 1,000 taps earns 1,000 activity points. Your daily tap limit grows as you keep a daily check-in streak.
  • Tasks — complete quests like following Worm on X or joining the Telegram channel and Discord.
  • Invites — each friend who joins earns you activity points. See Referrals & Prizes.
Tapping earns activity points, not cash and not rank. It’s there to fuel your predictions.

Leaderboards

The tournament points leaderboard has two views:
  • Weekly — resets each week, so newcomers always have a fresh shot at the top.
  • All-time — never resets, and tracks your total across the whole tournament.
A weekly reset never takes away points you’ve already earned all-time.

Prizes

Top players on the all-time leaderboard share an end-of-tournament prize pool.
The prize pool is real money. The exact amounts and payout details are announced closer to the end of the tournament.
Any prizes you win are credited to your WormCup profile balance, which shows what you’ve earned. You can withdraw at any time to a Solana USDC wallet.
